Emirates Airlines has introduced an instalment scheme for Indian customers to make air travel easier and more affordable. Expatriate families often struggle to pay the exorbitant ticket prices that soar ahead of the summer holidays. The airline has announced that Indians can pay ticket fares in instalments over 3 to 36 months.

It is quite common for tickets to get pricier during the school vacation, Onam, Christmas, and Ramadan. Many families cancel or postpone their trips because they cannot afford high airfares. The EMI system is expected to take the weight off their shoulders, as they do not have to pay a hefty sum at the time of purchase.

Indian travellers can book tickets using the EMI scheme to more than 140 destinations across the world via Emirates’ website. They could make credit card EMI payments for 3 to 36 months. Those who have credit cards of over 12 banks, including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak Mahindra, HSBC, IndusInd, Bank of Baroda, IDBI, RBL, Standard Chartered and Yes Bank, can avail this facility.
