Why do fishermen who took out a fight against Adani's port at Vizhinjam feel betrayed

Onmanorama features fisherfolk's protest against Vizhinjam port in Part 5 of the Year-ender series - 'People and issues that shaped Kerala in 2022'. No event was as epic as it was tragic as the 140-day anti-port agitation of the coastal folk in Thiruvananthapuram. In 2018, when Kerala was drowning, it were these fisherfolk who risked their lives to save hundreds. And nothing in 2022 seemed more tragic than to witness these very people fighting for their lives and practically everyone else turning their backs on them.
