Was Kollam Conference transformative moment for CPM?

The 'Pathways to Nava Kerala' document that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan unveiled at the CPM State Conference in Kollam is widely believed to have taken the party away from its Marxian foundations. Fact is, there is virtually nothing in the document that the CPM had not explored. By presenting the Nava Kerala document as an ideology-altering moment, the CPM's only objective is to create a larger-than-life image of Pinarayi as Kerala's only Development Man.
