How a former student turned scrap metal into a lifesaving footbridge in Kanhangad

When a former student saw children risking their lives crossing a marshy ditch on broken electric poles, he didn’t wait for permission -- he acted. Madhu K V, with leftover materials from his metal fabrication unit, built a footbridge in just one day, creating a safe path for nearly 600 students and local residents. This is the same place where a proposed foot overbridge is pending before the Railways for the past four years.
