Jeweller Slips into Poverty, Panchayat Gifts Him Tea Stall

A jeweller who slipped into poverty and despair was guided back to stability by the LDF government of Kerala and the UDF-run Thirunavaya panchayat in Malappuram. Through steady support, he found his way to a quieter, dignified life. “Today, I lead a peaceful life,” he says, as he serves tea and coffee to employees, elected representatives, and visitors at the panchayat office.
