At Kerala’s northern edge, Manjeshwar is a political paradox, where sharp Hindu consolidation fuels the BJP’s rise, yet never quite delivers victory. Election after election, the party comes within touching distance, only to fall short. In 2021, Hindu and Muslim votes were identical at 83,000 each. But the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls may have shifted the ground beneath the BJP’s feet.
