A police report filed in a California court alleges that Anila intentionally killed her friend Anjana in San Jose on August 28. Police cited eyewitness accounts and the absence of skid marks as evidence suggesting the incident was deliberate. Anila is also being investigated in connection with the death of Thiruvananthapuram native Ann Mathew, who was found dead the same day. The investigation into both cases is still underway.
