The CPM’s extended Kerala State Committee meeting has begun in Kozhikode to review the party’s major Assembly election defeat and decide on the course ahead. The three-day deliberations will examine organisational weaknesses, the party’s disconnect with sections of society, the shift in Muslim community support, the BJP’s rise in Kerala and the need to counter narratives against the party.
