Crime Branch probe against Keralam ex-CM Pinarayi Vijayan | ED bribery case | Explained

The Congress-led Keralam government has decided to initiate a Crime Branch probe into the ED's findings of alleged bribery and hawala transactions by former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena and MLA Mohammad Riyas. The ED wanted the government to register an FIR. The government didn't budge, instead sought legal opinion and now wants a Crime Branch probe. The move has frustrated the ED. The Congress has reasons to go slow on the ED report.
