Bijibal inaugurates Law college music club

Kochi: Prominent music director Bijibal Maniyil inaugurated the music club of Government Law College for the academic year 2018-19 on 24th October at the Central Assembly Hall.

In Friedrich Nietzche's words, "Without music, life would be a mistake" and the Government Law College, Ernakulam has always stood determined to form a music club every year and to spread the music of love, truth, protest, and peace among the students and society.

Several clubs have been constituted under the arts club like music club, dance club, drama club, and more to extract and showcase different talents of the students.

Bijibal spoke to the students and also was kind enough to sing a few lines of a song composed by late violinist Balabhaskar. Principal Reghunathan, staff advisor Gifty Oommen, arts club secretary Ms Baby Parvathyand, and music club convenor Aryasree Prakash spoke at the function.

The cultural events by the students began right after the inauguration. A tribute to violinist Balabhaskar was also organised wherein, a concert of instrumental music soothed the ears and hearts of the audience.

The musical dance drama was a feast to the viewers. The compositions of Balabhaskar reminded the audience about how great and deep his knowledge of music was. Several students sang at the event.

The music club also aims to conduct regular programmes like music festivals and also to ensure that students of the college are well-informed about music competitions organised by different colleges so that they don't miss any opportunity to exhibit their talents and to bag prizes.
