Chennai: The US Consulate General in Chennai is launching a poster contest during the month of July to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing mission and celebrate India’s second lunar launch. The Consulate seeks poster submissions from space enthusiasts of all ages on the theme 'US-India Space Exploration.'

We invite participants from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to submit original designs to amcongenchennaicontest@gmail.com with subject line, 'Poster Contest 2019' before July 31, 2019.

Submissions will be judged by a panel consisting of representatives from the US Consulate General in Chennai. Entries will be judged on originality, artistry, and imaginative depiction of space travel. The top posters will be displayed at the American Center in Chennai.

The American Center is holding a lecture and film series in July to celebrate US-India space exploration to include a presentation by Dr Mylswamy Annadurai on Chandrayaan I & II, Friday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m.
