Applications for the paramedical diploma courses at the government and self-financing institutions in Kerala can be submitted online till January 15.
There is no entrance test. The admission is based on the marks scored in the specified subjects of the qualifying examination.
Only a single application needs to be submitted for the different courses at various institutions. The application fee is Rs 400 and for those in the SC/ST category Rs 200. The fee should be paid online on the website (http://lbscentre.kerala.gov.in/) and the application must be submitted by January 15.
Certificates and other documents must be uploaded. Also, take a printout of the online application. There is also the option for paying the fee at the bank through challan. The details are given on the website. Service quota candidates should remit the application fee at the government treasury as per the guidelines specified on the website.
The admission is mostly open for students of plus-two science streams. The eligibility criteria for each course, including the minimum marks and optional subjects, is listed on the prospectus in the website.
Apart from service quota candidates, all other candidates must be at least 17 years old on December 31 and not older than 35. No age exemption. But there is no maximum age limit for management quota seats of the DPharm course. Some seats are reserved for nominees, VHSE, sanitary inspector, sports and ex-servicemen categories.
The selection and allotment are based on the options submitted online. However, the list of institutes, number of seats and fee rate is yet to be released. More details, such as the norms for the service quota candidates, are available on the prospectus in the website.
