Periye (Kasaragod): Central University of Kerala Vice-Chancellor Prof H Venkateshwarlu has said the new education policy is a game changer as it focuses on technology and skill development.
He was speaking after hoisting the National Flag at the university campus on India’s 72nd Republic Day on Tuesday.
“This is a crucial period for the fledgling Central University of Kerala. What we learn and what we do now will impact the University for the next 100 years. Hence I will focus on infrastructure development, ensuring brotherhood inside the campus and students’ development,” he said.
He said universities should work for society. “Knowledge will boost the nation's progress. What we do at the University is critical and strategic to the development of society.”
The vice-chancellor also feted COVID-19 warriors.
Registrar in-charge Prof. Prathapa Chandra Kuruppu, Dean (Academic) Prof. K.P. Suresh, teachers, students and employees were present.
