First Bell digital classes in Kerala for this academic year to end soon

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government’s study initiative First Bell digital classes for the academic year 2020-21 which began telecasts through KITE VICTERS channel on June 1 last year are coming to a close. While the programmes for Classes 5 and 6 conclude on Friday, those for students in Classes 7 and 9 would be over on coming Tuesday. At the same time, the telecasts intended for students of other classes would continue till April 30.

Plus One classes

Digital lessons of English, which is the subject studied by all the students in Plus One (class 11) class as well as Economics and History, which the highest number of students study, were completed on April 22. Similarly, classes in Business Studies would be over in the coming week and all other Plus One subjects would be concluded in May. Officials said that telecasts of special revision classes and audiobooks for Plus One students would start after the announcement of the public exam dates.

Annual assessment 

Meanwhile, the annual assessment of students in Classes 1 – 9 will start after the completion of the First Bell digital lessons. The documents for the purpose would be made available to all students, who have to complete the tasks mentioned and submit the papers, based on which the teachers would carry out the assessment. Schools have been directed to complete this exercise by May 20 and publish the promotion list. 

Another decision of the government is to start ‘Kilikonchal’ digital classes for pre-primary students next month.
