Digital classes for new academic year in Kerala Board to begin from June 1

Thiruvananthapuram: The state education department has begun preparations to start the new academic year with digital classes from June 1.

The government will take a decision soon. The Kite Victers channel has initiated the procedures for recording the bridge course, prepared by the SCERT.

The bridge course includes portions that were taught in the last academic year and would be required for this year as well. The first two weeks will be just the bridge course. Along with the portions recorded last year, new presentations will also be made this year.

About 70 per cent of the distribution of textbooks has been completed. Over 80 per cent has been completed in Palakkad and Wayanad districts. The book distribution would be completed by June 15.

The online admission for public schools was started the other day. After the lockdown restrictions are lifted, facilities would be arranged for direct admission and submitting documents. The schools have already been instructed to complete the procedures for promoting students to the next class by May 25.
