Plus-one exams to be held in August

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the plus-one exams will be held in August, close to the Onam holidays.

Education Minister V Sivankutty had earlier said that the Chief Minister would take a call on the exams. The plus-two classes will begin in the second week of June.

The evaluation of the fifth semester exams in the polytechnic colleges, that were conducted, would be held soon. For those exams that got cancelled, the results would be declared based on the internal marks.

After the results of the fifth semester exams are declared, the sixth semester exams will be held in July. The exams of the first to fourth semesters would be scheduled suitably.

The Chief Minister also said that the teachers, who have been assigned for the evaluation of the SSLC, higher secondary and vocational higher secondary exams, will be exempted from Covid duty.
