Plus-One model exams in Kerala from Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: The model examinations of Plus-One higher secondary courses in Kerala will begin on Tuesday, 31 August.

The exams would be held online in view of the COVID-19 threat, thus allowing the students to take them at home itself.

The question papers will be available on the website www.dhsekerala.gov.in, one hour before the commencement of exam.

Even though the teachers’ organisations have raised complaints, the Education Department has decided not to change the manner in which the model exam would be conducted.

Public examinations
Meanwhile, the Plus-One public examinations will begin on September 6. About 4.35 lakh students have been registered to write the exam. The classrooms and the school premises will be cleaned and sanitized, with public participation, on September 2, 3 and 4. Thermal scanners and sanitizers would be arranged at the exam centres.

Education Minister V Sivankutty has instructed school authorities that wearing school uniform should not be made mandatory for students who reach the respective centres to write the exam.
