Online applications for admission to class 9 at the Navodaya Vidyalayas can be submitted till October 31. There are a total of 81 vacancies at the 14 Navodaya schools across Kerala.
The application form and the prospectus can be downloaded from the website https://navodaya.gov.in. No application fees.
Students currently studying in class 8 at the government/government-recognised schools in the respective districts are eligible to apply. The date of birth should not be before May 1, 2006, or after April 30, 2010. No age relaxation even for those in the SC/ST categories.
The selection will be based on the performance in the test to be held on April 9, 2022. The test can be written at the Navodaya Vidyalayas at the respective districts.
In the 2.5-hour test, there would be objective questions for 100 marks - English (15 marks), Hindi (15), maths (35), and science (35). The difficulty level of the test will be that of class 8. For more details, check the prospectus.
