Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala University has rescheduled the second semester post-graduate examinations scheduled to begin from Monday.

The PG examinations will now begin on December 6. The second semester exams for MA, MSc, MCom, MSW and MMCJ are among those postponed.

The new timetable has been made available on the university website.

Kerala University students had voiced their concern after their post-graduate exams originally scheduled to take place on Novemebr 15 was rescheduled to November 22, clashing with the UGC NET-JRF tests.

Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor had rallied for the students.

"It would be a major injustice if the prospective candidates, who have spent dedicated hours over the past months preparing for such major national level tests, are not allowed to appear for them because of a competing Univ exam. They should be deferred," he said.
