Kerala plus-one admission: 79 more additional batches allowed

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has allowed 79 additional temporary batches for plus- one course. The list of the school wise distribution of the batches would be published on Friday, Dec 10.

Education Minister V Sivankutty announced the nod for the latest allotment of additional batches.

Earlier, it was decided that there would be 72 additional batches. However, the authorities increased the number of Science batches to 20 following requests from parents and students. Meanwhile, the Commerce stream has been allowed 10 more batches and the Humanities 49 additional batches.

The application for school combination transfer would be invited from 14 December onwards by including the existing vacant seats.

The Kerala government is permitting additional Plus-One batches on a temporary basis to find a way to accommodate the record number of students who had passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination this time with very high marks.
