Plus-one improvement exams from Jan 31, separate classrooms for Covid-positive candidates

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala education department has decided to go ahead with the Plus-one improvement exam as scheduled despite the recent surge in the COVID-19 cases in the state.

Around 3.2 lakh students have been registered for the exam that begins on 31 January.

Education Minister V Sivankutty said that separate class rooms would be arranged for students who have tested positive for the disease.

Meanwhile, the SSLC and Plus-two practical exams will be conducted after the written exams. The minister reiterated that the SSLC and Plus-two exams will have 30% questions from the non– focus area.

He added that this decision would be reevaluated later if required.
