The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has published the first allotment list for admission to undergraduate medical courses, including MBBS and BDS in Kerala, for the year 2021–22. Candidates who have scored up to 594th rank in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test have been allotted government merit seats for the MBBS course. The first-round admission is to the state quota seats at government/self-financing medical/dental colleges.

The allotment for admission to Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha and Unani (AYUSH) courses and to Agricultural courses would be conducted later.

349 in All–India merit list

In the first allotment list, the names of 349 aspirants based on All–India merit, too have been included. All Indians who have been included in the state medical rank list, irrespective of their place of birth, can apply to these seats at the self–financing colleges. Around 350 seats in 19 self – financing colleges have been kept aside for this category.

Check CEE website
The allotment memo that contains the candidate’s name, roll number, allotted course/college, category and the amount to be paid as fee and also the data sheet that has other details about the candidate are available on the home page of the CEE website. Candidates may download these from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

The printed copies of the allotment memo and the data sheet and the documents that are mentioned in the Section 11.7.1 of the prospectus should be submitted at the college.

Fee payment
Candidates who are allotted seats have to be pay the fees in the name of 'The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations' within 7 February via online or the head post offices.

After paying the fees, candidates can join the colleges from 4 February to 4 pm on 7 February.

Candidates eligible for seat reservation as well as residents of Sree Chitra Poor Home/Juvenile/Nirbhaya centres should pay a token amount of Rs 1,000. However, they wouldn’t get this benefit if they are allotted NRI/Minority quota seats at self-financing colleges. Then, they too have to pay Rs 3 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, respectively.

Meanwhile, the current allotment and further chances of those who do not join the colleges after paying the fee would be lost.

NRI seats
The guidelines related to NRI candidates are available in the allotment notification on the CEE website . The aspirants should regularly visit the website for latest updates.

The mistakes in the applications to NRI seats should be corrected and uploaded online. The allotment of those who do not correct these mistakes would be cancelled.

Varkala college excluded
Meanwhile, Sree Sankara Dental College at Akathumuri, Varkala, isn’t included in the allotment as it doesn’t have the affiliation of the All-India Dental Council.

This year’s MBBS fee at Travancore Medical College, Believers Church Medical College Hospital and PK Das Medical College hasn’t been decided yet. Those who get admission at these colleges should pay a temporary fee. Besides, they should also submit a declaration that they would pay the extra amount, if any, when the fee is decided.

Further rounds follow
There would be two more main rounds followed by a mop–up round.
The notification of the second round of allotment for MBBS and BDS admission would be published later. The aspirants would be given a chance to confirm options, rearrange the present options and also to cancel the unnecessary ones, before the second allotment.
