Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Public Service Commission's 10th-level preliminary test series for appointment to various posts in 76 categories will be held in May and June. The exam that has been scheduled in four phases has centres across Kerala.

More than 6 million candidates have applied for around 157 posts.

The detailed syllabus of the exam is available on the PSC website.

The rank list, meanwhile, would be published after the final test sometime later this year. In all likelihood the final selection would be made swiftly. The rank list could be published before the validity of the previous one ends.

Second edition of new exam system
Conducting a common preliminary exam for the posts that require similar eligibility and then holding a final test for those who qualify the prelims was started last year.

This is the second year of the 10th level preliminary exam being conducted as per the new pattern. The first 10th level preliminary exam for 192 posts was held in four phases in February and March last year. More than 1.8 million applicants had registered for that exam.

The final tests for candidates selected in the early round of last year's exam series were held in November and December.

The probability lists for the posts of Last Grade and Lower Division Clerk is likely to be published in March. The rank list would be published in April–May after completing the document verification.

The rank lists for the rest of the posts too would be published after that.

Confirm your application by March 11
For this year's test the applicants can submit their confirmation until 11 March. Separate confirmation has to be given for each of the applied post. The applications of those who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated date would be rejected.

While submitting the confirmation, the candidate should choose one of Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil as the medium of exam. The question paper would be available only in the language chosen by the candidate. Future complaints in this regard wouldn’t be entertained.

If the candidate changes the address before submitting the confirmation, then the exam centres would be allowed as per the availability in the respective districts.
