Job aspirants went on a strike in front of the Secretariat during the fifth year of the first Pinarayi Vijayan government.
The aspirants have been protesting in front of the Secretariat for the past 18 days, hoping for a reversal of the state government’s stance on the matter.
The protest is being held by those on the rank list of 967 candidates, which came into effect on April 24, 2024. So far, 292 have been appointed from this list.
The candidates said that 570 vacancies for women CPOs exist in the state.
The discrepancy was noticed when invigilators opened the covers containing the question papers in the presence of the candidates.
