Power Training Institute invites applications for PG Diploma in Smart Grid Technologies

Applications for the 53-week-long Post-Graduate Diploma in Smart Grid Technologies programme are being invited by the National Power Training Institute (NTPI), the apex body for training and human resources development in the power sector. The course will be held at the institute’s Bengaluru centre.

A smart grid is an electricity network/grid enabling a two-way flow of electricity and data. Smart grid technologies are self-sufficient, sustainable, safe systems for prompt solutions so that the reliance on the workforce is reduced as much as possible.

Eligibility
B Tech graduates who have at least 60% marks in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communications, Control and Instrumentation, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, IT and related subjects can apply.

Important dates
Eligible candidates may apply until 21 March. The merit list for the admission would be published on 22 March.

The selected candidates should attend the counselling on 23 March. The spot admission for the vacant seats would be held on 24 March.

The classes have been scheduled to begin on 28 March.

Fee and placement
The course fee, including the Goods and Services Tax (GST), is Rs 2,30,000.

The institute provides placement support for the students. All the students of the previous batch are employed in various firms.
