CBSE Class-12 exam timetable not clashing with major entrance tests, including JEE-Main

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the timetable for its Class-12 examinations has been prepared without clashing with the dates of national-level entrance exams including the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Main.

The CBSE exams begin at 10.30 am. Exams wouldn’t be held in the afternoon due to the sweltering summer heat during the months of April and May.

On 26 April, exam of minor subjects like Painting would be held for class 10; meanwhile, it would be entrepreneurship for class 12.

The higher secondary public examinations in Kerala that were scheduled on 18 and 20 April was postponed the other day to 23 and 26 April, respectively, as it clashed with the date of JEE–Main. State Education Minister V Sivankutty clarified that the decision was taken to accommodate the interests of the students who have also registered for the national-level entrance test for admission to engineering courses.
