Over 4.2 lakh students to attend SSLC exams from today

Thiruvananthapuram: The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination began in Kerala on Thursday.

It will conclude on April 29. As many as  426,999 regular students and 408 private students will appear for the examinations. 

The examination for the first part of the first language, including Malayalam, is scheduled on the first day.

The next examination (English) is on April 6.      

Masks are mandatory for all at examination centres. The use of hand sanitizers has been advised.
Apart from 2,943 examination centres in the State, there are nine centres each in the Gulf and Lakshadweep.

Plus Two exams continue

The Kerala Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations for Plus-2 classes began on Wednesday in schools across the State.

About 70,440 students appeared for examinations in 907 centres. 

The higher secondary examinations are scheduled till April 26. In Kottayam district, 21, 916 Plus-2 students  — 10,976 girls and 10,940 boys  — will appear for the exam.

In all 31,332 students are appearing for the Vocational Higher Secondary Examinations.
