The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), is a centre of advanced study of pharmacy sciences, set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. Headquartered at SS Nagar in Mohali, Punjab, the autonomous institute has centres in Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hajipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Rai Bareilly. The Hyderabad centre would manage the admission to the PG and PhD courses this year. Website: www.niperhyd.ac.in.
Aspirants who wish to pursue higher education and research in pharmaceutical sciences/technology/management can apply. MPharm, MS Pharm, MTech Pharm, MTech, MBA Pharm, PhD and Integrated PG – PhD programs are available. However, all the courses are not offered at every centre. Interested candidates can submit online applications till May 3. The online entrance test has been scheduled on 12 June. Students who are writing their final year exams too can apply.
Exam centre
There are 18 entrance exam centres including Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The results would be announced on 21 June. Those who wish to enrol for the six-year integrated program, that is introduced this year, can take the entrance exam for the master’s course.
