Forensic Sciences University entrance test next month, apply online

Forensics is the application of science to criminal investigation and criminal law. National Forensic Sciences University is an institution of national importance, that offers long-term courses in various subjects.

The institution that functions under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs is headquartered at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. Besides, the premier institution has centres in Goa, Delhi and Tripura. A new centre will soon be opened in Bhopal. Moreover, NFSU academies function in Pune and Guwahati too.

Interestingly, NFSU offers courses that aren’t directly related to the forensic sciences. More courses and facilities are available at the main campus in Gandhinagar.

Online applications for admission to various courses in the 2022–23 academic year could be submitted until 10 June by logging into https://admission.nfsu.ac.in.

The candidates need to take an entrance test for admission to certain courses. The entrance test has been scheduled on 25, 26 June at 20 centres around the country including Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.

Reservations are available for deserving candidates as per the guidelines of the central government.

The classes will begin on 1 August.

BSc– MSc: Forensic Sciences

PG Diploma: Courses are available in: Finger Printing Sciences, Forensic Documents Examination, Crime Scene Photography, DNA Forensics, Humanitarian Forensics, Disaster Victim Identification, Forensic Journalism (Online), Industrial Safety Hygiene and Environmental Management, Cyber Law, Security Studies, Investigative Psychology and Internet Governance.

BBA–MBA (5-year integrated course): Specialisation in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation/ Financial Management/ Business Intelligence.

M Pharm: Forensic Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance.
