Pursue PG courses on these subjects at Malayala University, apply before June 20th

You can apply for various openings for Post Graduate Programmes at Thunchathezhuthachan Malayala University till June 20th. The university aims at popularizing research studies based on Kerala traditions and cultures.

There are 11 subjects in which the two-year Post-graduate courses are available—Linguistics/Malayalam literature/literary writing/Cultural Heritage Studies/Journalism & Mass Communication/ Environmental studies (MA, MSc)/ Developmental studies and Local Development/ History studies/ Cultural science/Film studies/Comparative literature studies and Translation studies. There are 20 seats available for each department. Reservations will be there.

Those who have a bachelor's degree and those who are awaiting results can also apply. For MSc Environmental studies it is mandatory to take science as a Plus two subject.

The age limit is 27 years (You shouldn’t be 28 years old in April 2022). But backward castes and differently-abled can apply till the age of 30. Each programme contains aptitude tests. You can write entrance exams for two programmes.

The entrance exams will be conducted at Thiruvanthapuram, Ernakulam and Tirur centres. The dates will be announced later.

Each subject will be 1 hour long, with 50 marks objective paper. You need to score a minimum of 40% marks.

For Comparative literature studies and translation studies, there will be descriptive questions. The ranking will be based on the entrance marks.

Those who are applying for the literary writing course should submit a 5-page write-up during the aptitude test. You should not add your name.

On-line and off-line forms are available on the website. The application fee for a programme will be Rs 450. For backward caste and differently-abled it will be Rs 225. You can transfer the amount to the University account.
