The National Museum Institute of the History of Art, Conservation and Museology is a deemed university that functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture. Those who have a flair for art and its history can apply for various programmes offered by the institute.

Short-listed candidates will have to attend a written test of 1 hour and an interview too.

Courses
Separate applications should be sent for each course given below:
MA History of Art: There are 25 seats for this course. The applicants should have passed degree with 50% marks and should have excellent academic background. A background in Social Sciences, Liberal Arts and Fine Arts is preferrable.
MA Conservation: 15 seats are available for this unique course. The minimum eligibility is 50% marks in degree with Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Visual Arts, Architecture, Engineering and Technology as the core subjects or graduation in History, Geography, Anthropology and Archaeology after passing Plus Two with at least 50% marks.
MA Museology: This course has 15 seats up for grabs. The candidates should have bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in Arts, Science, Social Science and Humanities subjects. PG diploma in History of Art/ Museum Studies too is preferred.
It would be better if the candidates know a classical language or a foreign language besides their mother tongue.
Those who have work experience of at least 5 years in government or public sector can apply if they have the above qualifications.
