Biotechnology offers incredible opportunities in the world of modern research. Those who are interested in pursuing a two-year MSc Biotechnology course at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) in Thiruvananthapuram may apply online now. There are 20 seats up for grabs.
The students would get stipend of Rs 6,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively in the first and last years.
Specialisations are available in three fields: 1. Disease Biology, 2. Molecular Diagnostics and DNA Profiling, and 3. Genetic Engineering.
The syllabus has been designed to suit those who wish to become entrepreneurs.
Applicants should have completed graduation in Science, Engineering or Medicine streams with at least 60% marks. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste/Tribe communities and persons with disabilities need 55% marks. Besides, the applicants should have Graduate Aptitude Test of Biotechnology (GAT– B) score too (https://dbt.nta.acin).
Final-year students who can submit their mark lists by the time of admission too can apply. The reservation will be based on the central government’s criterion. Hostel facilities are available in the campus.
