New Delhi: The delay on the part of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to announce the results of classes 10 and 12 has made students and parents alike anxious. They fear the delay may mar their prospects for higher education.

CBSE Class-12 students are anxious that the delay in the publication of results would dampen their college admission prospects. Those intending a change in schools or board are also likely to get affected with the delay as the admission to Plus-One courses would begin soon.

Most state boards, including that in Kerala, have already published the Class 10 and 12 results. The admission procedure for admission to colleges too have begun in many places.

Adding to concerns there is still no clarity about the weightage of marks allotted for each terminal exams for classes 10 and 12.

Nationwide many CBSE students have raised concerns over their prospects in the first term exam which was found difficult. So, their demand is to increase the weightage of the second term exams. Meanwhile, the students have begun a social media campaign demanding to take the best of the two marks as the final marks.

The class 10 exam was completed on 24 May, while the class 12 exams got over on 15 June.
