Plus-One classes likely to begin in second half of August

Thiruvananthapuram: The integrated admission process to Higher Secondary Course (HSC) General Stream and Vocational Stream for Plus-One classes has begun in Kerala. The classes are likely to begin on 17 August after completing the first stage of admission.

Eligible candidates may apply online via the Plus-One and Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) single-window portal www.admission.dge.kerala.gov.in.

Important dates
Last date for application: 18 July
Trial allotment: 21 July
First allotment: 27 July
Last allotment in main stage: 11 August
Date on which the classes begin: 17 August
Last date of closing admission: 30 September.
The results of the qualifying Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examinations were out three weeks ago.

Marginal seats
The authorities have announced more number of marginal seats: 30% in all the government schools and 20% in the aided schools in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod districts. Besides, 10% seats would be additionally allowed in aided schools as per request.

Meanwhile, 20% marginal seats have been increased in all the government and aided schools in Kollam, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts. However, additional seats have not been allowed in Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki districts.

There would be 81 temporary batches, this year, including the 75 additional batches and 4 shifted batches that were allowed last year.
