Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty has said that there will be 25% grace marks for differently abled students in the Higher secondary examination.
The government has allotted 40 crores for NGOs that are running institutions for the differently abled. Last year they had given 15 crores.
In Kerala, there are over 400 such institutes functioning for the betterment of differently abled children. The Minister instructed that the MLA funds shouldn’t just be for road repairs alone and that they should be used judiciously for the benefit of differently-abled children as well.
He also emphasised that the training for the teachers of special schools will be done before the beginning of the academic year.
