First allotment list of Kerala Plus-One admission released

Thiruvananthapuram: The first allotment list for admissions to higher secondary (plus-one) and vocational higher secondary courses in schools following the Kerala state syllabus has been published. In addition, the first allotment of sports quota admissions also has been released.

Candidates may log on to the single-window website www.admission.dge.kerala.gov.in to know about the allotment of courses and schools.

Admissions would take place based on the first allotment list from 11 am on Friday to 5 pm next Wednesday (August 10). Candidates who have received their first option itself as allotment can secure permanent admission and others who were allotted their lower options can take temporary admission.

Subsequently, the second allotment list will be published on August 15. Around 4.75 lakh students have applied for admission to the plus-one courses this year.

Earlier, the website had crashed when the trial allotment list was released. “Such a situation will not arise now as all technical precautions have been taken,” said an official at the General Education Department.

Meanwhile, authorities said that the 10% community quota seats will not be filled now as an appeal has been filed against a High Court order merging this reservation with open merit.

The Education Department also directed schools in districts where a holiday has been declared on Friday in view of rains to ensure that admissions take place smoothly.
