The high court has instructed that without granting the reservation for disabled candidates, none of the aided school appointments done post-2018 should be authorized. And the ones which got the consent should be banned.

The high court also revoked the Education department's directive in 2021 that the right to law of the disabled need to be approved only in the appointments made after 8th November 2021.

The court also overturned the government’s order passed on September 6, 2021, which said that the appointments made by the managers after 2021 July 15th should be approved by the education department before September 24, 2021.

Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan’s order came after an appeal submitted by the Kerala Federation of Blind President KJ Varghese and others.

The court pointed out that giving jobs are crucial for the empowerment of persons with disabilities.
