Malayali NCC cadets all set to take part in Independence Day event

Thodupuzha: Making Keralites proud, Safwana Fathima and Jis Joshi are all set to participate in the special Independence Day program in Delhi. Both, students of Thodupuzha Newman College, are part of the 25-member cadet group representing the Kerala – Lakshadweep directorate.

Safwana who is an NCC under officer and Sergeant Jis are thrilled to be part of such a high-profile national event which will be attended by the President of India and the Prime Minister.

The Independence Day camp is one of the most prominent programs of NCC designed for the overall development of the cadets.

Safwana is the daughter of Kodikulam natives Maitheen and Nisha. She is a final year student at the department of Chemistry.

Meanwhile, Koduveli natives Joshi and Sindhu are the parents of Jis. She is a final-year English literature student.

The duo was facilitated by the college authorities.
