Kerala schools will remain open today to make up for missed days

Thiruvananthapuram: Schools will remain open on Saturday in Kerala in the context of the unexpected holidays granted to educational institutions, the General Education Department said.

A lot of syllabus was left uncovered in schools due to unforeseen holidays declared due to incessant rains and flood alerts across the State during the first week of August. Schools operating as relief camps had remained shut the following week.

The Onam exams will commence on August 24 and end with the Onam celebrations on September 2. The Onam vacation will commence the next day will end on September 11.

Schools shall reopen in the State on Monday, September 12.
