Schools seek clarity on availing Plus-One merit seats by mgmt quota students

Thiruvananthapuram: Even as the third round of seat allotment for Plus-One courses in Kerala concluded, school authorities and applicants who secured admission in the management quota have no clue about the process of choosing merit seats.

Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty had earlier announced that the students who had already sought admission in the management seat would be allowed to move to the merit seat in the same course at the same school. However, any official notification hasn’t been published yet.

Meanwhile, many schools complained of confusion and ambiguity as the schools aren’t given proper instructions about this. There is no clarity about the method of application or whether the applications should be sent via email or through schools. Meanwhile, the students are worried as the admission process based on third allotment is complete.

Supplementary allotment
The supplementary allotment, the last chance to secure Plus-One admission is likely to get delayed. The notification would be published on 31 August. The students should renew their application or reapply after the notification and the number of seats is published. Those who haven’t applied until now too can apply in this round.

The allotment list would be published at a later date.

As per the current schedule, the admission process to Plus-One courses in the current academic year would be completed on 30 September.

Plus-Two migration certificate
The distribution of migration certificates for Plus-Two students began at schools. Students who plan to pursue their higher studies in universities and colleges outside Kerala require migration certificate.

The migration certificates for all the students have started arriving at the respective schools. The students can receive these from the schools.

Provisional certificates were already given to those who have applied.
