The public education department has kick-started a public discourse on reforms in the curriculum. The discourse will be chaired by the district administration, local institutions and school-level committees. Minister V Sivankutty called a meeting of collectors and local institution heads with regard to this.

The published draft for curriculum reforms in Kerala should be discussed at all schools and the panchayat reports should be codified with extensive educational discussions at the block panchayat level, the meeting decided.

To hold more discussions there will be district-level organizational meets chaired by the district Panchayat president. DD will be made in charge of the organization. Block/BRC organization head will be the block panchayat president. Meetings should be held under the leadership of respective educational committees at a local organizational level. The school PTA is responsible for the school-level organizational committee.

A resource group of schools and local institutes should be formed in the districts. State resource groups should conduct district and block-level training programmes. In areas where there are more schools, they should organise Panchayath level training programs. In all the panchayaths they should include educational workers, MLAs, and people from all communities/sections. Regional discussions on a municipal, and corporation level should be conducted at several kendras.
