Apply for State Eligibility Test from today

Thiruvananthapuram: The applications for State Eligibility Test, the qualifier for appointment of higher secondary school teachers in Kerala, could be submitted from Saturday, October 1, until 5 pm on 20 October.

The applicants need to register on the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. Refer the prospectus for more details.

The test has been scheduled in January. However, the date of examination would be announced later.

Eligibility
The applicants should have scored at least 50% marks in post-graduation and completed B Ed. But, there is no mandatory requirement of BEd for some subjects.

Candidates of Scheduled Caste/Tribe communities and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are eligible for 5% marks relaxation in PG.

The applicants from General and Other Backward Class categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 1,000, while SC/ST/PwD candidates need to pay Rs 500.

PwD candidates should send a self-attested copy of the medical certificate, along with the online application, to the LBS centre in Thiruvananthapuram so as to reach there on or before 30 October.
