The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) was in the top 300 universities in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) World University Rankings 2023. It gained a position in the 251-300 category. Last year they were in the 301-350 rankings.
Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, which was placed in the 601-800 category last year, was in the 401-500 category. As many as 75 universities from India were included in the Times 2023 rankings. In the number of institutes, India was in 6th place.
JSS Academy of Higher Education, Shoolani University of Biotechnology and Management Science were in the 351-400 category and Alagappa University came in the 401-500 category. But Ropar IIT came down to the 501-600 category.
Last year they were in the 351-400 category. 6 Institutes from India were new additions to this list. Oxford and Harvard Universities were in first and second place respectively.
