The Supervisory Development Centre, under the Department of Technical Education, will conduct a walk-in interview to fill the 1,138 diploma apprentice vacancies at the major public sector undertakings such as KSEB and FACT.
The walk-in interview will be held at the Government Polytechnic College at Kalamassery in Ernakulam from 9am to 5pm on November 19.
In addition to the 1138 apprentice vacancies in the 18 institutions, 60 permanent vacancies in one institution would also be filled via this interview. The number of vacancies could increase. The monthly stipend would be at least Rs 8,000.
The registration for the walk-in interview is from 8am till 11am on November 19.
The interview, conducted in association with the Board of Apprenticeship Training, will be held in Kalamassery.
Those with a three-year polytechnic diploma in any branch and passed out in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 can participate in the interview. Prior registration should be done. Those who wish to participate in the walk-in interview should have registered for the apprenticeship at the SD Centre in advance and obtained the card.
The candidates should not have work experience of one year or more. They should not have done an apprenticeship elsewhere either.
The terms for the registration and payment are given on the website https://www.sdcentre.org/, under the link ‘Registration’ - ‘Apprentice’. Only those who have the Registration Card can attend the interview.
To obtain the card, the candidates can directly go to the SD Centre with the treasury chalan-receipt and other documents. Or they can send the applications by post as well.
