BigQ Challenge 2022: Chattanchal HSS bags first prize

Kochi: K Sayanth and K Krishnajith of the Chattanchal Higher Secondary School in Kasaragod have won the first prize in the BigQ Challenge, the biggest quiz competition conducted for school students in Kerala. The team has awarded Rs 3 lakh, a trophy and a certificate.

Aditya Krishna and Karthik Arun of the Carmel CMI School at Kallipadam in Shoranur, Palakkad district, secured the second spot. The second prize is Rs 2 lakh, along with a trophy and a certificate.

Sreenath Sudeesh and Navaneeth Krishna of the Government Model HSS, Calicut University Campus at Thenhipalam of Malappuram district finished third. The third prize is Rs 1 lakh, a trophy and a certificate.

Malayalam film actor Anoop Menon presented the prizes to the winners. Santa Monica Study Abroad managing director Denny Thomas Vattakunnel, and Malayala Manorama editorial director Mathews Varghese addressed the gathering.

The quiz was conducted by Gopinath Muthukad.

Students from more than 2,000 schools had participated in the preliminary rounds of the BigQ Challenge. The teams that won in the subsequent district rounds competed in the state-level competition.

BigQ Challenge 2022 was organised by Malayala Manorama in association with Santa Monica Study Abroad.
