The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a premier institution under the control of the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has invited applications for Post-Graduate Diploma programmes.

C-DAC conducts a total of 14 PG Diploma courses via online at 12 centres, including Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in Kerala, and also through physical mode at 24 centres, including Chennai and Bengaluru. All these are 24-week full-time courses with 900 hours of study.

The syllabus of the courses is revised as per the requirement of the industry. The classes will be held from March 17 to August 31, 2023.

Entrance Test
The candidates have to appear for the computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT) that will be held on January 28 and 29 at the specified centres. There are 32 examination centres in total, including Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. The selection will be based on C-CAT rank list. Those interested in appearing for the test have to submit applications online. They have to remit an exam fee of Rs 1,550.

Candidates who wish to apply for C-CAT 2023 may register online till January 18.

Eligibility norms
The common eligibility criteria is:·Graduate in Engineering (IT/Computercience/Electronics/Telecommunications/Electrical/Instrumentation)

or MSc or MS in Computer Science, IT or Electronics.

In addition to the common eligibility criteria, candidates should also meet the course-specific criteria.

There is no age bar. The candidates should submit proof of having passed the qualifying degree with at least the required minimum marks by June 30, 2023.

Final exams
The courses will adhere to the centralized examination provisions.

Lab sessions and projects are included as part of the programmes.

Upon completion of the course, the students should directly come to the centres and sit for the Final examination to be held in July/August.

While the students undergoing courses in physical mode shall appear for the exam at the same training centere, those undergoing courses in online mode shall appear at the exam city of their choice from the list of centres to be published.

Some of the centres where classes will be held in physical mode offer hostel facility to students. They will also be offered help in finding jobs.
