Apply for UG, PG medical, paramedical programmes at Vellore Medical College

Applications are invited for admission to various programmes at the Christian Medical College, Vellore. The admission bulletin can be downloaded from the website: https://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in/

The online applications can be submitted on the website till April 3. If supporting documents need to be submitted, the last date of receipt at Vellore is April 6.

The dates of entrance exams, other than NEET, and more details are given in the prospectus.

The tuition fee for the first year MBBS course is Rs 3000, total fee is Rs 52,830. Visit the website tnmgrmu.ac.in to know about the government regulations.

Entrance test

The entrance test for Group A courses, other than MBBS, and Group B courses will be held at centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode. Check the website for more details including the application process.

Group A courses - MGR Medical University

MBBS

Candidates should qualify in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - Under-Graduate, 2023, i.e., (NEET-UG).

Out of total 100 seats, 50 are in the management quota. (The management will fill seats in three categories: Open 2, Minority 38, CMC staff 10). The remaining 50 are government seats (Christian 30 and government quota 20).

The selection to all seats will be on the basis of the NEET ranks. The NEET score and all-India rank should be submitted on the CMC website.

Other Group A (bachelor) programmes

The programmes in this category are mostly paramedical: BSc Nursing, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Optometry, BSc Medical Record Technology, Audiology, Critical Care Technology, Dialysis Technology, Nuclear Medicine, Prosthetics, Radiography, Radiotherapy, Medical Sociology, Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Care Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc. Neuro Electrophysiology, Accident and Emergency Care Technology, Cardiac Care Technology and Respiratory Therapy.

Applications can be submitted for seven courses, including MBBS, in the Group A.

Group B courses

» Diploma: Nursing, radio diagnosis, urology, technology, anaesthesia and critical care technology (Also at Chittoor campus), hand and leprosy physiotherapy, medical lab tech, sterilisation tech and optometry.

» PG Diploma: Histopathology lab tech, medical microbiology, cardiac technology, cytogenetics, genetic diagnosis technology, community health management, hospital administration, health economics, clinical pastoral counselling, hospital equipment maintenance, dietetics.

NB: Certificates are given by the institute, but the following courses are not recognised by the university. Applications can be submitted for up to 5 courses in Group B with a maximum of 2 entrance exams.

» Certificate courses after MBBS: Accident and Emergency Medicine (2 years), Palliative Medicine (1 year)

» Advanced General Dentistry (2 years). For those with BDS, and one year General Dentistry.

» MS in Bioengineering for B Tech graduates

» MSc, post-basic BSc in nursing (2 years)/diploma (1 year), fellowship (1 year) at the Vellore College of Nursing
