Edu Min highlights need for transparent, method-driven assessment system

New Delhi: A brainstorming session regarding the latest advancements in the accreditation and ranking systems was presided over by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday.

The need for adopting a transparent, accountable, objective, method-driven system of assessment, accreditation and ranking of HEIs through a technology platform was discussed, the Ministry of Education said in a series of tweets.

The conversation revolved around streamlining the process of conducting business with a focus on simplicity. Various parameters were discussed for different categories of institutions in line with the vision of NEP 2020, which will help students make informed choices about their preferred institutions/programs. Additionally, online suggestions were solicited from the public domain. During the discussion, the participants explored transformative reforms aimed at fortifying higher education institutions (HEIs) throughout the country.
