Apply for INSA's ‘Visiting Scientist’ programme by May 1

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has invited applications for its ‘Visiting Scientist, 2023-24’ programme. The last date to apply is May 1.

Procedure

Selected candidates can engage in research for one to six months. Applicants should be attached to a Science department of any university, college or research institution. They can apply by preparing a PDF document mentioning the following details and uploading it on the INSA website.

• Synopsis of the proposed project and list of published articles by the applicant (maximum 20 to be included).

• NOC from the institution where the applicant currently works.

• Consent letter from the institution where the candidate plans to engage in research.

• Two referral letters.

• Endorsement form downloaded from INSA website and filled up. It should carry the signature of the head of the institution where the applicant currently works.

Things to note

Those who had received INSA fellowship during the previous one year will not be considered.

Selected candidates will get a monthly amount of Rs 30,000 to meet expenses on accommodation and other needs. In addition, two-way allowance for travel to the research institution will be paid.
