Spike in number of KEAM entrance exam applicants; 1.78 lakh students applied so far

Thiruvananthapuram: Nearly 1.78 lakh students have applied for the state entrance examination for Engineering and Pharmacy courses (KEAM 2023) this year.

The number of applicants registered an increase compared to last year when only 1.67 lakh students had applied. The applicants for the engineering courses alone are 95,000 this time, as against 93,000 on the previous occasion. Nearly 1.27 lakh have applied for medical courses this time, an increase of over 2,000 applicants.

Those who appear for the first paper of the engineering entrance exam are considered for B Pharm admission. As many as 1.22 lakh students have applied for pharmacy courses alone. The final figures may change as students can opt to add more courses to the applications that are to be submitted by April 12.

The students can upload related documents other than the main ones till April 20.
